FEATURES

Slant is a platform that aims to promote sustainable food consumption and efficient food distribution through the exchange of georeferenced information about the quality of food sources between consumers, farmers and sellers.

Sustainable consumption

Slant tracks your food from its origin, giving you the information about its production, transportation and distribution, and encouraging you to make more sustainable decisions.

Resilient communities

Slant helps communities become more resilient by encouraging people to buy locally grown food from their own neighbors, making the whole food system more equitable.

Value creation through information

Slant helps communities establish new food stores in places where there is a low food supply, combating food deserts.

WHAT IS
SLANT

Slant is a platform that aims to promote sustainable food consumption and efficient food distribution through the exchange of georeferenced information between consumers, farmers and sellers. Slant takes inspiration from the way social insects share information about quality food sources, helping individuals in our own communities influence each other’s decisions for an emergent food system that is as equitable as it is resilient and sustainable.

WHY OUR SERVICE IS THE BEST

Food Tracking

We track food items at every stage starting from where they are produced.

Resources Optimization

Users optimize their resources at the distribution and consumption levels.

Multiple-Technology Platform

We use different technologies to feed the information system, from SMS to GPS.

Positive Environmental Impact

Resource optimization and information delivery lead to a positive impact on the environment.

Horizontal Flow of Information

Consumers, producers and sellers share information about food.
